gloBsiP - Bloggers and filmmakers in hot soup

Recently, bloggers and filmmakers have been having brushes with the authorities, the establishment and the who's who. First and foremost is former A*Star scholar cum graduate student Chen Jiahao, who is currently in the US. He landed himself in hot soup by criticising A*Star's "Fail-lip YoYo". Till now, I don't understand why Mr YoYo wants to take legal action against Chen Jiahao, but refuses to reveal the details on Jiahao's blog which triggered it. Typical Singapore bureaucrat response, "remove and unreserved apology, if not I sue". Is he scared that the allegations cannot stand the tests of public opinion? Independent local filmmaker Martyn See got his video withdrawn from the Singapore International Film Festival, after the censors called it a "party political video". If his video is political, how about the "Upclose" series on Mediacorp TV? PAP political video? No... it is just an "educational" publicly-funded programme! Or so they would say...
